Question: What made you want to become an author?
Answer: What inspired me to write, to become an author? Inspiration! The late Dr. Wayne Dyer often discussed the difference between motivation and inspiration. In a nutshell, he explained it this way: motivation is when you take hold of an idea and run with it. Inspiration is when an idea takes hold of you. I have been blessed to feel the joy of pure “inspiration” when book ideas and stories have taken ahold of me and refused to let go. In those instances, the urge to write bubbled up so profoundly inside of me that I was compelled to sit down and write. And I must say, the urge was not satisfied by just starting the book or story; it remained until completion. In addition, I feel that I have valuable things to impart that offer hope and inspiration, helping people live more positive and happier lives. Click here for more and then select Author Interview.

Helpful Tips for Women Seeking a Stronger Relationship with their Mom
The relationships we have with our mothers are one of the most important relationships we’ll have in our lifetime. Sherry Maysonave, an expert in nonverbal communication, says mothers shape who we are early and later in life:
(Maysonave) “Your mother is your first love. She is a powerhouse in your subconscious mind whether you want her to be or not and your relationship with her affects your overall ability to love.”
According to Psychology Today, 80 to 90 percent of adult women wish they had better relationships with their mothers. Maysonave says as much as we believe our mothers are perfect, it’s important to understand they’re still human:
(Maysonave) “Just the word mother inspires that iconic vision of this amazing woman that fills all of your needs at all times and just flows with unconditional love at all times and that is just not realistic.”
If you want to show your mom how much you love her this Mother’s Day, Maysonave says little things like, written notes, and one-on-one time is all it takes to show your appreciation.

The Girl Who Could Read Hearts written by Sherry Maysonave has received four coveted 2016 book awards—The Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for best inspirational fiction, The Beverly Hills Book Award for best religious fiction, The Great Midwest Book Festival Award for spiritual fiction, and The London Book Festival Award for spiritual / religious fiction.
Targeted at adults to young-adults, this captivating novel weaves spiritual, mystical, and socio-political themes while exploring intuition, angels, and the afterlife. The story’s multidimensional plot features a young girl, Kate Kindrick, who is gifted with a rare seventh sense-the ability to read human hearts coupled with keen intuition.
The book is mentally provocative and not based only on conjecture. Many of protagonist Kate’s mystical incidents are based on the author’s personal experiences. Sherry says she doesn’t just believe there is an afterlife, she “knows there is.”
The Girl Who Could Read Hearts (published by Balboa Press & Empowerment Productions) is available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and fine bookstores everywhere. For more information…..

“Baby boomers have pushed the number of people in the US age 55 and older to over 80 million. This aging population and millennials have accelerated interest in the mysteries of death, afterlife, angels, and intuition,” says author Sherry Maysonave, who explores these and other issues prevalent in society in her new novel “The Girl Who Could Read Hearts” (published by Balboa Press).
“This story came to me in a dream where my deceased sister shouted to me from a mountain top,” Maysonave says. “One of her messages was clear: she was alive and well in the afterlife. Yet there was something else she was telling me, and that eluded me in the dream. But for the rest of the night, words tumbled endlessly through my head. The next morning, I went to my computer and the story of “The Girl Who Could Read Hearts” was born and began pouring out.”
Born gifted with a rare seventh sense – the ability to read human hearts coupled with keen intuition – Kate Kindrick struggles to understand her capabilities. She is often bewildered by her unique perceptions combined with seeing symbols and panoplies of color in people’s hearts. Yet it’s her naiveté of the intuitive signs that augur trouble. When she doesn’t heed an inner warning, her world spins into a dangerous spiral that spells hazard for her and those she loves.
Maysonave explores highly-charged issues such as abuse, eating disorders, prejudice and limiting belief systems, as well as the mysteries of afterlife, death, angels, intuition, true love and learning how to find God’s presence in all. Maysonave says she doesn’t just believe there is an afterlife, she knows there is.
